The Backstory
As a fellow SaaS warrior, wrestling with YouTube transcripts felt like a Sisyphean task. Bot protection, manual workarounds...it was a nightmare! So, I built YouTubeTranscribes. My aim was to automate this tedious process and free up time for more important things. My personal reaction? Pure joy when I finally automated away the transcript extraction tedium! The best part is seeing how users are already leveraging it for everything from content repurposing to AI training. The user feedback has been invaluable – helping to shape the tool's development and future features.

I don't get it. This doesn't do anything unless YouTube's already got the transcript available? So, it's exactly like the 1000 of tools that "scrape" YouTube by clicking the "show transcript"-button and pulling the transcript elements out? Also, if you start out with a video that doesn't have a transcript: no matter what video you try afterwards it will say that there's no transcript. Literally have to purge the session to get it to recognise that there is a transcript.
I like. It's good. However when I paste in a playlist URL, it only transcribes the first video. Is there a way to download a transcript of every video in the playlist?

What happens if a video doesn't have any captions or transcripts?
If a video lacks captions, YouTubeTranscribes will inform you that transcripts aren't available. You won't be charged any credits in this case.
